I bought this last summer for our kitchen so that we could put our older LG 3 door refrigerator in the garage to use there. While we are mostly happy with this new LG we honestly like the older model better. Differences we dont like are that the new one doesnt have. For instance an adjustable temperature for the large tray which I call the deli tray. I often like to change the temp for the type of food I put in this drawer i.e. meat cheese fruit tray or breads. There are things that I like better on the new refrigerator such as the outside water/ice dispenser and that the ice make is not located in the upper door which allows for more room in the doors for condiments etc.

Plastics thin and cheap

Air filter housing broke off after first attempt to remove filter. Ordered new. If you have allot of tall items you dont want this fridge. Wine milk etc not much places to store inside fridge. One small shelf thats it. And only because you slide back upper shelf. Both sides dont do this so limited. Cheap plastics abound in this unit. Ice freezes into hard rock balls in freezer door so weekly you must remove unit and shake it hard to break up ice or nothing will come out of door dispenser. Its beautiful to look at. The door in door add on is nice feature

We have owned this product for about 3 years now. Like the design and layout of the product. When it is working we are quite happy with it. Weve already had to replace 3 parts including the compressor as our Freezer was not staying frozen. Also as mentioned in many other reviews the ice maker gets frozen and you have to manually break apart some of the ice for it to fill up the contained- it does not hold a lot of ice.

Purchased about 10 months ago am pleased with LG and my refrigerator. I like the consistency of the operation the ease of air and water filter changes ease of rolling out size interior lighting. Two items need addressment: LG did not offer white exterior finish at purchase time and the ice reservoir clogs up at each end. I would rebuy this product but prefer white compared to my last refrigerator your neighbor across the street.

Its working fine but ice freezes up into hard chunks in door. Have to break them up bi weekly. The filter housing when removing filter a piece of plastic broke off and now has to be replaced. Cheap plastic everywhere. Very poor quality plastic wise and its all over. And it makes allot of different sounds. Not much tall items can go in and thats a big problem. Overall we would not buy again. Its not designed very functionally.

Purchased january 2108. Icemaker started acting up in 2021. It works sometimes when its in the mood. Compressor went out in May 2024. Part was free labor $325. Unfortunately appliances are no longer made in Japan so everything has a 7-10 year lifespan

This fridge looks good work perfectly for 2 years only then started with one shelf broken just when it reaches its 3 rd birthday big breakdown started technical changed compressor main board multiple fans then it works 2 more years without problem another problem there is a Freon leak inside insulated area technician said he cannot fix it LG offer me a refund for $987 because they couldnt fix it but not yet received yet their customer service and techs are awesome but this fridge is a trash. Lot of food went into trash many days inconvenience I dont know why LG is making such a big garbage units . So total this fridge life is 5 years

I purchase my French door frig. less than 2YEARS ago. The compressor needed replacement within 8Monthes.. When I first called LG they stated that my Frig was 3 years old by serial #. I later alled again and they came to repace the Compressor. Now less than a year after that I had a leak due to a bad fitting on the compressor line that should have been welded not screwed on...I lost a large amount of food with each frig . I am VERY UPSET WITH THE PRODUCT. I can not recommend it nor will I buy anything LG again.

This refrigerator had to be repaired after almost 4 years. The compressor was replaced. A year later it stopped working again and had other parts replaced but it is unrepairable. It is dead Would not buy LG refrigerator again.

This fridge is junk. Year and a half old. First ice maker stopped ejecting ice unless manually pressed and then CL E code came on and fridge/freezer both stopped cooling. Had a tech out and 3 hours after he left code came back on. Ive read nothing but horror stories about LG since. Do yourself a favor and choose another brand.

Bought this refrigerator in 2019 and we loved it until the refrigerator unit became warmer than normal. The repair tech discovered that the circulation fan in the back of the fridge behind the fresh air filter on the top back wall wasnt working. He checked for the part and informed me that the fan is part of the entire back panel? and that it was no longer being made by LG. Bottom line I had to purchase an entire new refrigerator I did contact LG and they agreed to give me a 20 rebate if I purchased a new LG refrigerator.

We have only had this fridge for 2 years and have already had to replace the fan motor panel in the freezer because it stopped making ice and was showing an error code. On top of that our fridge cooling system also failed and all our food spoiled. When I called LG to see what they could do they basically told me nothing. Very unhelpful and not willing to work with us on something we spend a lot of money on.

We have had the unit 7-8 years I think. Compressor just went out and we had to replace it. Had a hard time getting tech who would work on it. It has been nice BUT per the reputation the compressor went out and it cost us a lot to get it fixed. Other than than nice fridge good looking. FYI I dont expect to win the $500

I hate the refrigerator I hate this company. The water filters that they currently make dont fit the system anymore and they dont have a fix for it. People are a over YouTube with trying to show fixes that you have to do yourself to make it work and they dont. Do not buy any LG products under any circumstances. Their customer service is the worst I have spent hours of my time on the phone with them and they keep saying they will send the right filters and they still havent sent me any. I will never purchase another refrigerator or any other product from this company as long as I live You suck

We purchased a refrigerator from Best Buy that was not working when we brought it home. The process to have a repairman come fix it turned out to be a hassle. However once the repairman came he was very good stayed in touch with us and was able to fix it on the third visit to the home.

On our 2nd LG refrigerator in this model in 9 years The first one was irreparable and we were out of warranty so we had to purchase another. We made the mistake of purchasing LG again. After less than 2 years we are waiting for repair after a week of service requests. We have lost almost all the food in the fridge except what we could fit inside a cooler and a beverage fridge. LG should have an emergency service for refrigerators. The cost of food and inconvenience to a family is substantial Life is NOT GOOD with an LG refrigerator. Will not purchase again.

At first we loved the fridge and the features like electronic diagnostic roomy easy to clean but in two years though the ice and water is not working code CL E showed also saying theres a leak. This fridge is worth 2800.00 and within two years it already has problems. I researched it and it says that LG might not cover fixing it even if its still under warranty. I wished we bought a different brand. Our tv dishwasher and stove are all LG brand since the salesman said its very reliable. I wish LG would stand behind their product and fix it especially its a major problem for all customers.

Up until last month all was well with this unit. The compressor went out and we lost food in the process to get it repaired. It was repaired and as of February 22 2024 the compressor is out again . There seems to be no sense of urgency from customer service to have repairs made although they did have an authorized service check the unit today. He confirmed the compressor was out again. He ran a diagnosis of the unit and suggested we contact LG and ask for replacement of the refrigerator since the compressor have failed so close in time. The request was denied and I was told not to worry the repairs will be made in 2 days. If it goes out again LG will consider replacing the unit. Meanwhile we are left to try to salvage some of the contents of the refrigerator. The freezer contents have been lost twice.

Great Repair Technician Bad Customer Service

Would have gave 5 stars. The tech that came out to repair my fridge I. I would have giving less if not for the tech. The week before on Friday I stayed home from work for an appointment. no one showed. I called to ask what happened only to be told that they have know record of them talking to me on Monday the day we arrange for a Tech to come on the Friday I stayed home. I do have a phone record showing nearly 12 minutes call. So I had to go another week to get my refrigerator fixed. Dont expect any arranged call backs. I had 2 but received not 1 call back.

Great but

We love the fridge but learned the hard way the compressor goes after 5 years. It was within warranty but labor was expensive and we lost a lot of food in the process. Plus side is that LG sent their own techs not a certified 3rd party within a few days and got us up and running without a hitch.

We have an LG fridge. We have called customer service 5 times now trying to get them to figure out why the water filters dont fit. Finally found out they were sending the wrong filters. I called today and found out the wrong part was requested again and they had denied the request. Nobody was going to call me to tell me. Id still be waiting if I hadnt called them. There will never be another lg product bought for this household again.

Our compressor had a ten year warranty and only lasted six years. When they came to fix it they informed us that it was going to cost up to six hundred dollars to fix. Compressors cost up to $350 dollars. We were robbed. This is the last LG product we will be purchasing for our house. When speaking to Natea about the price she informed me that this was going to be a complementary service on a recorded line might I add on Jan 31st. We recently reviewed our bank statement and we were charged almost six hundred for the repair of this warranty covered mishap. Unacceptable and poor customer service. I would not recommend to anybody especially when you look up LG online and find out that there have been multiple filed lawsuits against LG for failing compressors. Lastly they make you fill out a box at the end of this survey where you have to check yes or no to the following: I received this product free or at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion and would like to receive a sweepstakes entry for my review. I can not check yes because the product was not free as we paid almost six hundred dollars to have fixed.

Still no working fridge after 3 weeks I fridge stopped working. LG sent a technician To fix it it only worked for two days Since then I have been going back-and-forth with LG to try to get a technician out here and it seems either a technician is not available or they just never get back to LG or whatever Im probably never going to buy an LG item ever again

I have been without a fridge for almost 3 weeks now. Our fridge broke down and LG sent out a tech. The tech replaced parts only for it to break the same way 2 days later. I have been bouncing back and forth with LG operators saying they will have a tech fix within a day or 2. Then it became when a tech is available So Im here without a fridge and I need to store my childrens medicine in something cold There is NO urgency with LG Id give 1/2 star if the option was available

Replaced under a court order lawsuit as others have had the same issue . 2024 - went out again - replaced the compressor and coil - worked for one day . Evaporator coil on order .all under warranty.We have been without Refrigerator for 3 weeks .

Now it is over 1 month without a working fridge. LG servicer claimed sulfer damage to copper pipes and just left Second opinion by 3rd party showed sulfer damage was an excuse and a lie. LG tries to get out of servicing products fully under warranty. Scam servicing. So called presidential servicing level is the worst. They claim doing me a favor. Their servicing employee lied and made a false claim about my fridge to get out of fixing it. They want me to give up and just buy another fridge. Buyer beware.

Poor LG servicing sulfur excuse to avoid warranty

Now without fridge for one month 3 weeks until I got first appt. and now 1 week until 2nd opinion. Claimed discolored copper piping caused by sulfur damage thereby they refused to replace condenser. After doing internet search it appears LG copper in their fridges are susceptible to sulfur damage. Avoid. My fridge is less than 5 years old. No well water involved. Would still work with new condenser. They should replace it no matter what. If anything then tell me warranty is no longer in effect after replacement. Instead they are telling me to go jump in a lake.

Good refrigerator but needed repairs after 4 yrs

Overall we are happy with the refrigerator but the compressor quit after 4 years. The repair was covered under the manufacture warranty and there was no cost to us for parts or labor. The repairman was on time and friendly. He said the compressor was redesigned a couple of years ago and they havent had many issues with the newly designed compressors. The repair took a couple of hours and the compressor was replaced with a new one. It has been a week and we have had no more issues in that time period.

Dependability concerns

I bought this product in the summer of 2019. It completely failed in December of 2023. The compressor went out along with the evaporator and condenser. Although under warranty it has still not been fixed as of this date. I have lost food due to thawing and I am without a working refrigerator that is only four years old.

Great Features... compressor failure in 5 years

4 1/2 years - compressor failed - coils showing rust / debris and need to be replaced as well. Somehow it failed before our extended warrantee ended 5 yrs and might be covered under the LG class action suit but IF not service tech said this would be a $1500-1700 repair which is $200 less than we paid for it Home Depot sale. The Good - we love everything about the features of the refrigerator ... which is why we bought it but ... The Bad - compressor failure in less than 5 years and still not back up and running - tech cant come back to install the new compressor for another 3 weeks is decidedly not OK. Will start saving for a new one now hoping we can get 5 more years of service out of the repaired one. Buying another LG seems unlikely.

Stopped cooling after 6 years

I have enjoyed the refrigerator for about 6 months without any major issues except for the replacement of water/ice dispenser panel after 2 years of use. However after 6 years of use the refrigerator stopped cooling and needed the replacement of the compressor which costed $450 for the labor while the part was covered by the warranty. The refrigerator worked for 2 days but stopped again. The technician said that it has leaking at other parts. As a result the tech tried some bypass 2 days ago and I am monitoring if the function stays now. If the bypass does not work I need to replace the refrigerator itself. I found out that this specific model was on the extended warranty for 5 years due to defective air compressor. Unfortunately mine went out over 5 years. I have never expected the $1800 refrigerator goes only for 6 years.
